2 CUPS FLOUR
1/4 CUP SUGAR
1/2 TBSP BAKING POWDER
1/4 TSP SALT
1 NAVEL ORANGE (THE ZEST FOR THE RECIPE, THE JUICE FOR THE GLAZE)
2 1/2 TBSP BUTTER
1/2 CUP HEAVY CREAM
1 EGG
1 TSP VANILLA
400° 12 MINUTES
You can use a blender or food processor.
Mix the dry ingredients to distribute the baking powder . flour, orange zest, sugar, baking powder and cold butter. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend. (note, there is only orange zest, no juice in the recipe.)
Glaze: start with 2 tbsp orange juice in a bowl and slowly mix in powdered sugar until you get a thick glaze. Dip the scones in and allow to cool to harden.
